The Hoke House

A few months ago everybody was crazy about a movie called Twilight. Twilight is a love story movie between a human and a vampire. They’re modern vampires and live in a modern house.

The Hoke House was designed by architect Jeff Kovel via ‘Skylab Architecture’ it’s 4300 squares, built by Metcalf Construction, with Lucy Metcalf as the interior designer and landscaper. The house was designed for Nike executive John Hoke and his family and appeared in the film Twilight. Hoke really liked the idea of his house being used as the home to a family of sophisticated vampires and allowed filming to proceed in both the interiors and exteriors. Because of his profession, members of the production team dubbed the structure the “Nike House.” The Cullen house is supposedly located just outside of Forks, WA

Home Look : B-99 House Design

It is not very often that modern minimalist homes from India steal the show on a global stage, but the B-99 house looks so gorgeous that it could very well be a structure standing in the heart of Hollywood. The contemporary edifice designed by DADA Partners in Gurgaon, India welcomes you with its very unique seating area clad in glass and sporting a trademark metal ‘V’ supporting the upper floor.

With a staircase that forms the focus of the home, large wooden interiors and posh accessories; B-99 sports an ultra-fashionable look. Yet, the extensive courtyards, and the placing of the living room, kitchen, dining space and other areas of the home show that the ancient Indian art of design called ‘Vastu’ has been still followed meticulously. When it comes to a fusion of the old east with the modern west, B-99 wins hands down!

Designed by Isolation Unit & Yosuke Ichii Architect, J House is a private residence for a married couple with three children in a suburb of Kagawa, Osaka, Japan. A single plain volume with a generous space in between of two boxes, the rooms inside the J House are continuously interconnected in the most stylish way.





Somehow secluded from people’s eyes, the contemporary residence manages to charm with its white perfect furnishings and the wooden accents on the inside.

Designed for British furniture company Established & Sons, they may not be perfect for your modern environment but sure add a tinge of exclusivity if you like things “raw”.




Sebastian Wrong and Richard Woods are the guys behind these wicked sofas and chairs. Dubbed “Bricks & Mortar” for reasons you can obviously understand, because of the upholstery print the two furniture pieces lack the contemporary and seem uninvitingly hard. But that definitely changes once you settle down in comfort.
